Albany Flowers

No sewing lately but I'm trying to blog more so
I dived in to the photos to see what I could show you.
***
We visited our friend Allison (no blog) on our flying visit
to Albany in January. These gorgeous flowers were in her garden.
These must be the original ladies that wore a purple dress
and a red hat! They so totally look like ladies too!

More amazing colours and shapes.

Just hanging around on her verandah.

 Wow.

scrappy workshop

Our guild had a charity quilt sewing day.
All fabrics were donated. We only had to take our machines.
Lessons on putting scraps together were included.

You can see some of the blocks created as well as the examples.
The vibrant quilt in the lower left corner was created
from a previous block lesson.

Geraldine's Quilt

In January we visited dear friends who now live in Dumbleyung.
She had this lovely quilt made for her by her sister-in-law
and her sister-in-law's daughter who live in South Africa.
Enjoy.

Misc

When not blogging, life goes on.
I have been working a lot of extra hours in the last few months
and have not had any mental fortitude to blog.

I have not been vacuuming the ceiling in the powder room.

I have assisted with changing the spark plug leads in my car.

I have been on a team that is drafting our
publicity brochure for the guild.

I did not make a birthday cake.
I bought a pink dinosaur birthday donut.

My baby is 20. I am no longer the mother of a teenager.

Work is settling down with new owners and new staff.
I'm hoping to get back in to a regular blogging routine.
