My Get Up and Go...

Got Up and Went...

This is a quaint expression my mother used to say, and I believe it's quite common now. I've been a bit blah lately and feeling overwhelmed so all quiet on the sewing/blogging front. Just been getting through work and a few home chores/family stuff as best I can. It's been so hot and so dry - drought dry. Headaches and blah - I'm sure you all know what I mean. So I'm trying to keep up with enough water but even as we speak my poor fingers are sweating on the keyboard - and the AC is on... sigh. So I am going to go and have another glass of water with a dash of lime, a cool shower, and absolutely force myself to do something - anything - in my sewing room to try to kick start my motivation. Heaven knows I have enough to do...

But maybe a nap first...

Shari, you sound like me, this summers heat has had me drained and sweaty. Mind you I have hit that time, I'm sure of it, roll on cooler weather. It's the last weekend of summer. I've even had a few Nana naps, so not me! Love the photos.

I have to say, I am a little bit jealous that you have the AC on. I would love the heat of the summer right now. I am such a summer gal. But I know what you mean about not having the motivation. It happens sometimes, but don't worry it will return.

All of us go through periods of blahness. I understand, also, how heat can sap your energy. Having said that, we are in a Level 1 snow emergency today so I am wishing for a wee bit of heat!

Cute, cute koala pics!

We are finally getting some warmer weather here (O: You would probably love our temperatures: 10C.
I hope you have a lovely weekend.

My mom used to say the same thing fairly often. I know the feeling. Hope the weather breaks and the sewing room entices you into a project.

I don't know if those Koalas sleep as comfortable as they look, but they sure look comfortable! Sounds like you are pretty warm there! Wish we both had a happy medium!

I felt the same way a few weeks ago, for me it was, cold, dark, and snowy, and I just felt like sitting and hand quilting. so I did, and now I feel great. take a break we all need it once in a while!

Hi Shari,
I'm not looking forward to the hot summer ahead. Living in Texas I think we have the same type weather. Love the pictures and I hope you were able to stitch.

Those pics are SO cute. I don't do well in the heat - I can't imagine trying to get anything done. Just take it easy and don't overdo!
